3DOE plantar pressure distribution system is also a type of gait analyzer.
Of course, there are various types of gait analyzers on the market. This is because different application scenarios may derive different models.
But the measurement focus of 3DOE plantar pressure distribution system is to measure plantar pressure distribution, including the following data: pressure distribution of the whole foot, contact area of the whole foot, heel width, heel angle, center of gravity trajectory, plantar pressure trajectory diagram, heel angle, step deviation angle, force changes at characteristic positions of the left foot/right foot over time, etc.
The measurement modes of 3DOE plantar pressure distribution system include: static measurement, dynamic measurement, and balance measurement.
During static measurement, the user only needs to stand on the sensing area of the pressure plate, keep natural movements, look straight ahead, and wait for the measurement. The completion of static measurement generally only takes 3 to 10 seconds. After the measurement is completed, the data playback can be viewed on the computer software, and the measurement report can also be directly exported.
During balance measurement, the user generally stands in the same way as static measurement, except that different measurement modes are selected. Of course, according to scenario requirements, more scenario-appropriate actions can also be performed, such as standing with eyes closed to measure balance data, or some users need to imitate unsteady walking by slightly shaking their bodies for data measurement, etc. The measurement process is also very short, generally only taking 3 to 10 seconds to complete. The measurement data can also be viewed online in real time, and the measurement report can be exported and printed on site.
During dynamic measurement, the user needs to walk back and forth 2 to 3 times passing through the sensing area on the pressure distribution system, so as to obtain average data, which is more objective and accurate. During dynamic measurement, the user should keep walking the same as usual and stay relaxed and natural when walking back and forth, so that the measured data is more objective; otherwise, data distortion is likely to occur.
In some measurement scenarios, only static measurement is needed; in some scenarios, data combining static measurement and dynamic measurement is required; and in some scenarios, data from all three measurement modes is needed.
These are all selected according to specific applications.
The data measured by the plantar pressure distribution system can be applied in the design and customization of orthotic insoles, pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation evaluation, campus foot screening, foot health diagnosis in hospitals, prevention and diagnosis of diabetic foot, etc.
