3D foot data acquisition equipment, also known as a 3D foot scanner.
A 3D foot scanner is a device that uses optical principles such as laser technology to collect foot shape data, and can obtain a complete STL data model as well as a measurement report.
In our daily lives, we often encounter problems such as tiredness when walking and arch pain, which are actually caused in many cases by ill-fitting shoes.
When we choose a shoe size, we all use standard shoe sizes, which are difficult to completely fit our feet. When we choose a shoe size, we simply make an approximate choice, and we do not actually measure the condition of our feet, because it is impossible to determine the true shape of our feet simply by visual inspection.
With the improvement of living standards, many people have also begun to pay attention to the fit of their shoes, and the market for custom shoes/custom insoles has begun to become a fashion and a major trend.
In the past, making custom shoes/custom insoles required manually measuring foot data, and manual measurement had large errors and rough data, while it was difficult to capture relatively subtle features such as arch height and heel inclination, and the custom shoes and insoles produced were also difficult to fully meet customers' needs.
But with the introduction of 3D foot scanners, the production time for custom shoes/custom insoles has been greatly shortened, and it is also better able to meet customers' personalized needs.
Customers only need to stand in the testing area of the 3D foot scanner for about 10 seconds to obtain complete 3D foot data, and more than 60 groups of measurement data can be obtained. The generated STL data can be directly imported into shoe insole/shoe design software for modeling, and then designed according to the customer's personalized needs, so that the shoes produced can completely fit the shape of the foot, and after wearing them, problems such as fatigue and pain can be relatively reduced.
If there are foot problems such as flat feet or high arches, a plantar pressure distribution system can also be combined for corrective design, to make corrective insoles and corrective shoes that can effectively improve foot problems.
After the measurement is completed, the 3D foot scanning device can also provide a visualized, easy-to-understand, chart-based measurement report.
In the measurement report, it helps us assess whether there are foot problems such as flat feet, high arches, arch inversion, and arch eversion.
It also lists key dimensions, while recommending suitable shoe sizes and insoles according to our foot shape, and providing foot health maintenance suggestions according to our foot data.
Moreover, 3D foot data measurement is a non-contact measurement method, with accurate data, and it does not cause harm to our feet, so it can be used by people of all age groups.
3D foot scanners have a wide range of applications and can be used in offline shoe stores, rehabilitation institutions, hospital foot health departments, school foot screening, sports performance improvement, biomechanics research, and other fields.
