The 3D foot scanner is a device that adopts the laser optical principle to conduct three-dimensional scanning and measurement of human feet, obtain key dimensional information and three-dimensional data, and generate visualized measurement reports.
The main measurement data of the 3D foot scanner include: foot length, foot width, foot shape fat and thin degree, shoe size recommendation, insole recommendation, hallux analysis, arch analysis and heel analysis; plantar length, arch length, length of the first metatarsophalangeal part, length of the fifth metatarsophalangeal part, length of the thumb outer convex point, length of the waist nest part, length of the heel center part, length of the rear heel margin, length of the instep circumference part, length of the navicular curved point, length of the tarsal protrusion point, length of the lateral malleolus center, length of the medial malleolus center, toe width; basic foot width, oblique foot width, outer arch width, inner waist nest width, heel center width, total rear heel width, instep circumference width, toe width, waist circumference width; arch height, height of the first metatarsophalangeal joint, thumb height, rear heel protrusion height, navicular curved point height, anterior tarsal height, height of the lateral malleolus lower edge point, height of the medial malleolus lower edge point; metatarsophalangeal girth, anterior tarsal girth, heel hold girth, waist circumference, instep circumference, ankle girth; angle of the first metatarsophalangeal joint, thumb angle, heel oblique angle and other data.
These measurement data can be applied in the following fields.
1. Shoe selection and shoe size recommendation.
It recommends suitable shoe sizes according to basic data such as foot length, foot width and foot shape fat and thin degree, avoiding oversized or narrow shoes. The involved measurement data include foot length, foot width, foot shape fat and thin degree, shoe size recommendation and insole recommendation.
2. Foot arch and heel health assessment.
It evaluates whether there are abnormalities in the foot structure (such as flat feet, heel varus/valgus), judges whether there is excessive internal rotation, and further affects the balance of ankles, knees, pelvis and spine. The involved measurement data include foot arch type, foot arch height, foot arch width coefficient, heel angle and heel type.
3. Customization of corrective insoles.
It supports the customization of corrective insoles for people in need through comprehensive foot size and morphological data, improves the normal biomechanical function of lower limbs, and helps adjust the overall body posture. The main involved data include all length, width, height, girth and angle measurement data as well as STL three-dimensional data.
4. Sports injury prevention.
It selects suitable sports shoes according to foot arch and heel types (such as stable/controlled shoes for excessive internal rotation and neutral shock-absorbing shoes for high arches) to reduce the risk of sports injuries. The involved measurement data include foot arch type, heel type and foot arch height.
5. Customization of shoes and insoles.
It provides a complete three-dimensional foot model for personalized customization of shoes and insoles, ensuring the finished products fit the personal foot shape perfectly. The core involved data include STL three-dimensional data and all length, width, height, girth and angle measurement data.
6. Analysis of left and right foot differences.
It compares the differences between the two feet, finds asymmetric problems (such as differences in length, width and hallux angle between left and right feet), and enables timely attention and intervention. The main involved data include all measurement items distinguished by left and right feet.
The measurement method of the 3D foot scanner is as follows:
Before measurement, the tester shall take off shoes and socks, and roll up the trouser legs above the ankles.
Then stand in the scanning measurement area and follow the voice prompts of the device to operate step by step.
During the measurement, keep standing naturally with a static body, do not shake the body, and ensure both feet are placed within the scanning area.
The whole measurement process only takes about 20 to 30 seconds. It can not only obtain three-dimensional data such as STL data, but also generate visualized measurement reports. Through the measurement reports, we can fully understand the foot size and health status.
